Each year the AACC offers a variety of programs designed to highlight the contributions that people of African descent have made to world culture.

Programming includes:

  • Black History Month programs
(lectures, performances, film screenings and symposia)

  • Black Student Leadership Training -- for future leaders

  • Cultural/Educational Field Trips, like Southern Exposure. In March of 2005, the African American Cultural Center and Hillel of Towson University organized Southern Exposure, an Alternative Spring Break. Students traveled to Alabama, Georgia and other stops during spring break, timed to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the March for Voters Rights from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.  A similar event will be advertised soon.
