Location: Cook Library, Room 524

From the main library entrance on the third floor, take the
stairs or elevator up to the 5th floor. Go through the 5th
floor lobby and follow the main isle all the way to the back. |

Front Desk
As you go down the main isle on the first floor you will be
greeted by a student assistant who can assist you with
scheduling tutoring sessions and checking the workshop schedule.
Our SA’s sign you in and out of the tutoring center. They
also help you figure out which tutor you will need to see.

The main office entrance is located to the right of the
front desk. A bulletin board posts newsletters, schedules,
and important updates.

This is our administrative assistant’s desk. Judy is
available to answer additional questions about the Academic
Achievement Center.

After entering the main office, this group tutoring area is
located through the door on the left.
This is one of our group tutoring areas. Here,
tutors can work with multiple students at a time in a
comfortable atmosphere.
There is also a
bookcase with resources that are available while visiting our
center.

Group Tutoring Area 1
Within the group tutoring areas, tutors can help explain and
illustrate concepts to students by using the large dry-erase
board. This view of Group Tutoring Area 1 shows the door leading
back to the main office. |

As you continue through the center you will arrive at our
second group tutoring area. This particular area
is equipped with a computer and dry erase board. If you
continue past the group tutoring area, a doorway leads to the
one-on-one and small group tutoring room.

This is one of our personal tutoring areas where
one-on-one and small group tutoring takes place. Each of these areas comes
equipped with a dry-erase board and a computer.
Our center has five tutoring areas located in this room.
This room connects to the group tutoring area.

Math Lab
7800 York Road building, room 105 |
The Math Lab is located on the 1st floor of the
7800 building. As you enter the main lobby, turn to your
left. After passing the stairs, turn right down the first
hallway. The Math Lab will be located toward the end of
the hallway on the right side. |

Entrance
Tutoring at this center is drop-in and no appointment is
necessary. Be sure to check the
schedule posted on the bulletin board located to the left of the
door. It will assist you with finding the times that a tutor is
available to assist with your specific math course. |

areas, 2 dry erase boards, a chalk board, and a bookcase of
resources to use while visiting the center.

where you can work with your tutor during drop-in hours.

COSC Lab
7800 York Road building,
room 407 |
As you enter the 7800 York Road building at the main level,
take the stairs or the elevator to the 4th level. Continue
down the hallway about 1/2 way and the room will be located on
the right side. The outside walls of the room are glass.
Once you enter the lab, turn left in to the first cubicle area
behind the student assistant desk. |

the cubicle for tutor availability and proceed to sign in with
the tutor.

Natural Science Lab
Smith Hall,
room 538 |
The Natural Science Lab is located on the 5th floor of Smith
Hall, near the Department of Chemistry. The majority of tutoring
that takes place in this center is drop-in. The schedule is
posted on the door to the center.
If you enter the entrance closest to Cook Library, you will be
on the 3rd floor of Smith Hall. Proceed up to more levels
and straight down the hallway. The Natural Science Lab
will be on the right hand side.
If you enter the building near the entrance to the Fischer
College Dean's Office, you will be on the 3rd floor also.
Once you go up to the 5th floor, you will turn left and the lab
will be on the left side. |
