Good Standing

For Students entering the HC prior to Fall 2006

To remain in 'good standing' in the Honors College students must maintain a 3.2 cumulative GPA (CGPA) during their freshman year, a 3.4 CGPA at the end of their sophomore year, and a 3.5 CGPA at the end of their junior year and each semester thereafter. Students must complete Honors courses at a minimum rate of 3 units per semester (i.e. 6 units at the end of your freshman year, 12 units at the end of your sophomore year, 18 units at the end of your senior year). Honors Probation occurs if students fail to achieve the required CGPA or number of Honors credits in any semester within the class year. Students on Honors Probation are dismissed from the Honors College if their CGPA is below the required level for two consecutive semesters or if they fail to register for Honors courses when they are below the expected number of Honors credits.

For Students entering The HC in Fall 2006

To remain in 'good standing' in the Honors College students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 3.3 every semester. Students will need to complete at least 6 Honors units by the end of their first year in the program, 12 Honors credits by the end of their 2nd year, and 18 credits by the end of their 3rd year.
