American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM)

On Saturday September 9, members of the Student Honors Advisory Committee
went downtown to visit the American Visionary Art Museum in Federal Hill.
After eating lunch in the Inner Harbor, the group made their way through the
crowds to the museum. The AVAM is known for its display of art by 'non-
professional' artists. This often abstract art ranges from beautiful broken
glass collages to intricate drawings by people with Obsessive Compuslive
Disorder. Overall, members of SHAC enjoyed a gorgeous day in the city and
were able to appreciate off-beat yet extraordinary artwork.
